And let's not forget the food – a symphony of flavors that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves a lasting impression. Despite the challenges it has faced, Thailand remains a must-visit country, beckoning me back time and time again.

Wat Phra That Doi Kham (Golden Temple)

Wat Phra That Doi Kham (often referred to as Wat Doi Kham or the Golden temple) is located at the top of a hill to the south west of Chiangmai. The views from the top of Wat Doi Kham are impressive and the temple itself is gorgeous.

This ancient temple has more than 1,300 years of history, believed to be built circa 687 to enshrine Buddha's relics. The giant Buddha is 17 meters tall.

Doi Suthep - Chiangmai, Thailand

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai. 

The original founding of the temple remains a legend and there are a few varied versions. The temple is said to have been founded in 1383 when the first stupa was built. Over time, the temple has expanded, and been made to look more extravagant with many more holy shrines added. A road to the temple was first built in 1935.
