Dinner of Champions
Went to a Chinese place in Paris and ordered dumplings and sushi for my last meal. They about lost their minds when I talked to them in Chinese.
Eiffel Tower
The guy taking my picture could have at least told me I was pointing the wrong way. Such a tourist.. There is a Chinese restaurant on the same street as my hotel but it’s been closed since I got here. Spring Festival can be such a nuisance. Leaving back to Beijing tomorrow as I mentally prepare myself for a 16 hour layover in the Moscow airport.
Croque Monsieur
My first night back to Paris I got in around 10pm, and this was the only food I could find. Delicious
Versailles
More from Versailles. The last picture is a room called “Battles” or something like that and it has giant paintings of famous battles from France. This place is of epic proportions.
Paris at Night
Went out tonight to the bar area and met some cool people from Batilly. Guy said he was a tour guide and gave me the run down of what to do and see there. As soon as I asked a question he went into full robot mode. Weird listening to a rehearsed speech. However, the hand motions of “and to the left you can see” were unnecessary.
Shoutout to CHINA! I stand corrected that KTV is only a Chinese thing. Sing your heart out in Paris!
The infamous Doner. A Turkish food that is found everywhere in the world. Munich had pretty good ones, but this place in downtown Paris was too tasty. Filled with meat, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and topped with fries, it was the perfect dinner to a busy day.
Went looking for a gym last night around 10pm, found one and noticed posters of 90% naked guys on the walls. They were fit, but by no means body builders so it struck me as odd to have them up. Then I saw this one and realized I was in a gay gym. Minus the posters of mostly naked guys, it was a pretty solid gym. I’d give them a shoutout but I think the name of the place is just *pink neon lights* “GYM”.
More from around Paris. The metro was super convenient as well as offline maps for my phone. Lifesaver. French people were very helpful when asking for directions and the weather was like that of early fall. Great day to tromp around the city
View from my hotel in downtown Paris. Right in the thick of it all. Headed to Germany this afternoon to meet up with my Peruvian buddy Miguel for the weekend and then back to Paris to do as the tourists do. Happy Chinese New Year!
