A girl at school told me she was a good artist

I jokingly said, ‘I’ll give you 4 yuan for a picture’. 2 weeks later a fully framed and signed piece of art is on my desk, courtesy of 7 year old Angela

Halloween day 2 at our center

Had students try and make balloon towers using only tape. They didn’t get too far with a ‘tape as fast as possible’ game plan. Also did a 'mummy-wrapping’ race that they thought was hilarious. Round 3 mañana

Halloween at school today

I wore my Muay Thai gear, which was a clear indicator that all my kids should punch me. I have the next 5 days of Halloween at school, which is super cool. Besides organizing new games for them to play everyday, I’ve also gotta figure out new costumes. Leggo China!

Finally...

Moving into Fall weather here in Beijing. The days aren’t humid, cool breezes blow by and there were actual clouds in the sky, compared to the usual haze of smog. I’m told that September/October are the best months for Beijing weather. All too soon, Winter hits and the air is yellow because everyone is running their heaters 24/7.

Headed to Mongolia in a week or so for a visa run. Not too exciting, just your run of the mill border crossing after countless hours on a charter bus. It’ll be nice to get out of Beijing though. 

Ever since my man Yofi drew his first rendition of “Degen-Snake-Snail-Pig”, it’s been non stop. I think I’m de-evolving.

Haha they love this song and I think it’s hilarious. It’s basically just nonsense words and then “very very good!”
